Whilst the process can vary depending on the role in question, applicants to Amdocs’ graduate programs can typically expect to take part in three rounds, provided they are successful at each.
These rounds are an online assessment, a technical interview and an HR interview. The online test and technical round are particularly challenging, and candidates should fully prepare themselves with plenty of practice beforehand.
Amdocs Aptitude Tests
There are four areas covered in the Amdocs online assessment, each measuring core skills and abilities you’ll be expected to hold as a promising candidate.
Amdocs quantitative aptitude test
This section of the test looks at your numerical reasoning skills and basic mathematical abilities. You’ll be required to draw logical conclusions from sets of data, and perform calculations to solve a range of business-related problems.
You may complete questions relating to time and work or profit and loss for example. You may also be asked to apply your knowledge of things like geometry, algebra and percentages. The skills under assessment here are skills you’ll use on a daily basis as an Amdocs employee, and your numerical aptitude indicates your capacity for problem-solving.
Amdocs verbal aptitude test
The Amdocs verbal reasoning test lets the hiring team know you have the required language skills to perform your duties effectively. Like the quantitative aptitude test, it also offers an insight into your capacity for problem-solving.
You’ll face a mix of question types in this section. Some will require you to interpret written information to draw conclusions, identify inferences or evaluate arguments. Other question types include sentence correction, word selection, grammar and synonyms.
Amdocs logical reasoning test
Both deductive and inductive reasoning are covered in Amdocs logical reasoning test, which again uses a variety of question types. These include word problems similar to those found in a verbal reasoning test, where you’ll need to assess the validity of conclusions, as well as question types like number series and sequential relationships.
Amdocs technical knowledge test
The final section of the test focuses on your coding and programming skills. You’ll be assessed on foundational knowledge in areas including pseudocode, UNIX, SQL, C++ and Java. It’s also highly likely you’ll complete one or more practical coding exercises.
Your performance in the online assessment will determine if you are invited to attend a technical interview, so make sure you brush up on your technical skills and complete plenty of practice tests for the quantitative, verbal and logical reasoning sections.
