Final HR Interview
Huawei receives a vast number of applications for every vacancy listed, be it a graduate or experienced role. The company uses several recruitment methods to help find candidates with the best aptitude for the role - which might just be you! By getting to know each stage of recruitment, you will be much more likely to get the job.
Regardless of role, you will always start by submitting a simple online application form, followed by a group screening interview and online aptitude tests in numerical reasoning, verbal reasoning and English.
If you meet the benchmark scores for the position, you’ll later be invited to a technical interview - better described as a role competency interview - before participating in a final interview with Huawei HR team members.
After this, you will be contacted either by phone or email to advise whether you have been successful in your application.
Online application form
The Huawei online application is straightforward to complete.
To make a start, find the role you want to apply for on Huawei’s Career Page, which can be filtered by job type, experience and location. Upload your CV, and input personal details such as contact information, education, and work experience.
Top Tip: ensure the CV you upload has been tailored towards a job at Huawei. Demonstrate how aligned with the company’s values and work ethic you are. For example, Huawei encourages all employees to ‘be open, positive and persevere through any obstacle’ - think about where you can showcase this in your CV.
Telephone interview
Following your online application submission, a member of the Huawei HR team will get in touch via voice or video call to conduct a brief screening call.
The purpose of this is to match the individual to their application. Basically, at the surface level, do you embody the information you have provided in the online application. Keep in mind any answers you used in the online application as they may be referenced as well as Huawei’s core values to guide your answers.
Be prepared to answer brief questions about your experience and why you want to work for Huawei.
Huawei Aptitude Tests
Due to the high number of applications Huawei receives as well its high expectations of employees - the company requires all candidates to complete a series of aptitude tests, allowing them to quickly identify the most adept candidate for the vacancy, without bias.
You can expect to take the following tests during the Huawei application process:
Huawei Numerical Reasoning
A numerical reasoning test is designed to challenge your mathematical skills. You’ll be presented with several questions to complete within a set timeframe. The questions test your core mathematical skills such as addition, subtraction, division and multiplication to solve common concepts as well as your ability to interpret, analyse and draw conclusions from data.
Due to the timed nature of this test, we recommend practising free sample numerical reasoning tests as these will help you identify what areas need the most dedicated revision time.
