Those applying for engineering, technical or mechanical jobs at Philips will be asked to take a mechanical reasoning test.

Philips Logical Reasoning Test

Logical reasoning tests are used in the hiring process across a huge range of different roles as they can be a really useful indicator of how strong a problem solver or logical thinker a candidate is.

The logical reasoning test requires you to answer non-verbal and non-numerical questions to draw logical conclusions and assume answers from seemingly random patterns, shapes or objects.

It’s not easy, especially if you’ve never encountered questions like this before. It’s highly recommended that you try as many tests out as you need to before your Philips test, so you start to improve your speed, accuracy and confidence.

If you pass the selection of aptitude tests set for you, you’ll be invited to interview(s).

How many interviews you’re asked to participate in is dependent on the role you’re applying for, but you’re normally always interviewed by the talent acquisition team first.
